This year, Municipality of Piran launched a pilot project to monitor noise and air quality to improve coexistence between residents and tourists. In three locations in Portorož, Sensware monitoring stations have been installed to monitor noise levels, one of them also monitors air pollution (PM particles, NOx, O3) and weather conditions. The goal of the project is to determine an acceptable noise level and promote responsible environmental management. Measurements will be publicly available, which ensures transparency. The project is being carried out in collaboration with local restaurant owners, and the municipality has been leasing the equipment from Alfa Proxima for six months.
