What can we monitor?

The legislation requires the monitoring of particular matter, nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), and ozone (O₃).
Depending on your own specific needs, we can provide an even wider range of monitoring.

WE ALSO MONITOR THE FOLLOWING GASES:
COCarbon monoxide
CO₂Carbon dioxide
NH₃Ammonia
NOxCarbon oxides
N₂O₂Dinitrogen dioxide/laughing gas
SO₂Sulfur dioxide
CH₂OFormaldehyde
CH₄Methane
H₂SHydrogen sulfide
HClHydrogen chloride/hydrochloric acid
H₂Hydrogen
HFHydrofluoric acid
We monitor meteorological parameters:
Temperature
Humidity
Precipitation
Air pressure
Wind speed
Wind direction

We monitor noise using built-in sound sensors that operate in accordance with the SIST ISO 19962:2017 standard.

Monitoring is carried out in the living environment, that is, in places where noise affects people (not at the source of the noise – e.g. not directly next to the road or a factory).

Data is automatically transferred to the SensWare digital platform, where it is displayed in a clear and understandable manner. This way, municipalities and institutions can obtain reliable information about noise levels, enablih them to take timely action to improve the quality of life for their residents.

At Alfa Proxima we are developing a program for indoor air quality monitoring.

Through monitoring, we will provide data on indoor air quality and offer expert recommendations for improving living conditions.

The aim of the program is to enable reliable monitoring of parameters that affect users’ health and comfort.

The EU directive introduces indicative air quality monitoring

2030

According to the (EU) 2024/2881 directive, all municipalities will be required to implement measures to improve air quality starting in 2030. These measures cannot be planned with appropriate monitoring. Indicative monitoring is the optimal complement to ARSO’s reference measurements because it provides high-quality, real-time data at key locations at a low cost.

Why is environmental parameter monitoring important for your municipality?

1

The (EU) 2024/2881 Directive on air quality explicitly introduces indicative monitoring as the recommended method for air quality assessment.

2

With the new Directive, the Alfa Proxima indicative monitoring became the optimal system for monitoring and responding to air pollution.

3

Indicative monitoring allows you to obtain, even today and at a relatively low cost, reliable and comprehensive data that is essential for taking timely action and responding to government requirements.

4

These measurements can provide insight into seasonal effects at various locations and serve as an optimal complement to ARSO's reference measurements - they provide high-quality and real-time data where municipalities need it most.

Monitoring equipment

We have developed our own advanced modular devices for indicative real-time monitoring of air quality and noise.

Thanks to the modular design, our devices can measure a wide range of pollutants, depending on your needs.

Quick access

Data processing and display on the SensWare platform

We have developed our own platform for displaying data on air quality and noise levels. Measurements are taken continuously, and the data is transmitted to the app in real time and published. The data is presented in an understandable manner and published online, accessible either on the SensWare platform, on municipal websites or via mobile apps. This allows residents and other users to get a direct look at the air quality in their area at any time.

What is EAQI?

A measure of air quality in Europe

It is a standardized numerical scale that converts measurements of pollutants (PM10, PM2.5, O₃, NO₂, SO₂, CO) into a simple indicator for the public.

Low values indicate good air quality.

Higher values indicate poorer air quality and may pose a health risk, initially to vulnerable groups (children, the elderly, people with chronic conditions) and eventually to the general population.

In Slovenia, we use the EEA (European Enviromental Agency) scale with six levels of pollution.
